This painting was inspired by a scene one late summer day at Two Harbors on Catalina Island, one of the eight Islands which make up the a Californian Channel Islands archipelago off the coast of Southern California. The Black Pearl is a well used and many time repaired dinghy that has been our main transportation when mooring in the harbor.
